California put FREE college and career savings accounts in the hands of our kids. Now 1 MILLION families have claimed them — and more than $82 MILLION has already gone directly toward education and career training. Washington is now following California’s lead. Good. Investing in our kids shouldn’t be partisan.

We expanded FREE before-school, after-school and summer programs. We even created FREE college & career savings accounts for millions of kids. And we’re seeing the results: Student achievement is up across every grade and every student group.

Donald Trump has turned the presidency into the greatest grift in American history. It’s madness, and everyone around him is complicit.

Thinking of the people across Gary and Northwest Indiana after the devastating storms that tore through the region. The images of destruction are heartbreaking. Our thoughts are with the families who lost homes and the first responders working around the clock. California stands ready to help in any way.

5,000 American sailors and Marines are being forced to remain at sea for Donald Trump’s reckless war with Iran. Their families are sounding the alarm. He created this crisis and our service members are paying the price. End this failed war and bring them home.
