@WholeMarsBlog I’d like to apologize to Dustin Moskowitz for calling him a “retard”. That was wrong. What I meant to say is that he is a pompous idiot whose his head is so far up his own ass that he is legally blind. I wish him the best and hope that someday we can be friends.

@EdKrassen AGI will come first, but there are many levels of AGI. As @waitbutwhy’s charts suggest, we are at the very beginning of intelligence. Humans are the biological bootloader for digital superintelligence and we may serve as a backup plan for intelligence, given that humans are far

@AdrianDittmann Yeah, Dustin is the one who should go to jail for impersonating a smart person

@dogeofficialceo Same

@EdKrassen The point of creator payouts is to incentivize high quality content on 𝕏. In some cases, we are seeing the opposite, where people are spamming the system to generate ad money. That is obviously not ok.

@xDaily Ad revenue sharing will be paused for some creators pending investigation into use of bots to spam likes, replies, DMs, etc

@WallStreetSilv 😂 Technically, that is true, but it won’t move the needle much. The long-term problem is shifting trillions of tons of carbon from deep underground to the atmosphere. That will eventually have an effect that will be extremely difficult to reverse.

@cb_doge @andst7 We need to preserve and make accessible as much knowledge as possible. So much has been lost over the past 5000 years.

@Rothmus Yes, inflation causes prices to rise, but not value, so it amplifies the capital gains tax. This applies to everyone who owns a house. Even if your house value is the same when adjusted for inflation, you will still pay a capital gains tax even when there is not a true gain.

Great interview with @johanknorberg!

@Erdayastronaut A booster catch attempt is highly likely this year. For the ship, we need to be sure that it will survive reentry and retain aero control authority, so that means at least 2 successes landing at a precise point in the ocean.

@disclosetv Really? Is there a legal investigation?

@WholeMarsBlog We believe version 12 is ready for supervised FSD in LHD countries. RHD will take a bit longer.

@cb_doge It will become obvious over time that you can do anything on 𝕏, so features like this will be taken for granted

@imPenny2x @SciGuySpace The critical Fermi “great filter” threshold is Mars being able to survive and grow if the resupply ships from Earth stop coming for any reason. At that point, we will be a true multiplanet civilization.

@nima_owji Cool

@SmokeAwayyy Maybe Mayorkas is grumpy about the fact that I think he should be impeached for ushering in vast numbers of illegals by any means possible, while simultaneously making legal immigration almost impossible 🤷♂️

@EndWokeness It’s crazy

@SciGuySpace It’s just docking with ourselves. Not trivial, but certainly easier than docking with the Space Station, which is far more complex.
View post →Captured source text.
@PeterDiamandis It’s a big deal
View post →Captured source text.
@SciGuySpace Full & rapid reusability of booster & ship and orbital refilling of ship are the 2 fundamental technologies we aim to solve by the end of next year. Those are the critical pieces necessary to make life multiplanetary.

@engineers_feed There are actually a lot of ways to interpret the word “cathode”, but, for those who make batteries/cells, it is the side with metal and the anode is the side with carbon and/or silicon

Most of history had and still most of the world has “might makes right” as the axiomatic error. If any thought is given to it, you should obviously consider morality in the absolute! Deeds done determine good or bad, not whether one party is stronger or weaker than the other.
View post →Captured source text.
The axiomatic error undermining much of Western Civilization is “weak makes right”. If someone accepts, explicitly or implicitly, that the oppressed are always the good guys, then the natural conclusion is that the strong are the bad guys.
